Coffee After Dark is the premiere poetic experience where poetry meets coffee in the spirit of the cafe. The "Coffee" in Coffee After Dark is also an acronym that stands for "Consciousness Over Free Flow Eclectic Expression". The coffee in Coffee After Dark also represents the fact that this event is a way to get your stimuli through artistic expression every Thursday evening.
Created and hosted by Poet DeLantz, the inspiration for the series came from the Poet's days as a barista. He thought it would be a cool idea to fuse the two together.
All artistic genres are welcome to sign up and perform. Coffee After Dark features a wide range of Poets, Vocalists, Storytellers, and Musicians. The creative cup is never half empty!
This wonderful event occurs weekly at Mt. Airy's number one cafe Wired Beans. Full menu available. Fresh fruit is always provided and the open mic list is always on deck!
